1980 Renault Alpine A310 V6

Launched at the 1971 Geneva motor show as a successor to the A110, the A310 was mechanically similar to its predecessor. Featuring a Gordini tuned 4 cylinder engine, the A310 was criticised for not having any more power than the out-going model. In 1976 the A310 was restyled by famed designer Robert Operon. Aside from the aesthetic updates the car was fitted with the more powerful 2,664cc PRV V6 engine. The car finally had the Performace to match the looks and the critics were silenced.

This particular example is a Swiss delivered car displaying a meagre 93,800 km from new. The car remained in Switzerland up until 2 years ago when it was imported here by a well known UK collector. Repainted a few years ago in Switzerland the bodywork still presents very well today. Equipped with Arepa sports shock absorbers to sharpen the the vehicles sublime handling characteristics and fitted with period 15″ PLS split rim allow wheels. These cars are not only a very attractive looking sleek sports car, they offer a truly engaging and exciting driving experience. Very rare and exclusive too.
