Ferrari Classiche Red Book

Ordered new from Maranello Sales on 14th June 1973 by a Mr Douglas of Wellingborough, who took delivery on 1st December that year. The first service was carried out soon after on 10th January 1974. Mr Douglas retained the car for around 5 years before selling to a local motor dealer. The next private owner purchased it on 9th May 1979, a local Mr Pugh of Kettering. Clearly he grew very attached to the car as he owned it for over 16 years. On 27th December 1996, it was eventually sold and purchased by another local gentleman, a Mr Latham of Corby. Mr Latham almost immediately commissioned a full restoration, this was entrusted to midlands based Ferrari specialist Dario Lofredo. Photographs and invoices remain on file for this work. A few years later in 2002 Mr Latham made the decision to part with the car and authorised Ferrari dealer Mortimer Houghton Turner were to offer the vehicle for sale. Prior to this MHT sent the car to Dino specialist Nick Cartwright for a full going-over and a 3,000 miles service. Mortimer Houghton Turner found a buyer very quickly, (the fact that it was sold by a Ferrari Authorised Dealer was surely testament to the previous restoration), and a Mr Kingsley took ownership on 15th March 2002, his tenure lasting nearly 8 years. In 2010 the car was sold through Dick Lovett Ferrari. At this point an application was made for Ferrari Classiche and the red book was duly issued on 21st April 2010. The  red book confirms the car is a matching numbers throughout with the only notable deviation from standard being the change of interior colour from Nero to Pelle beige. Just 2 years later the car was offered for sale again and purchased almost immediately by a collector. It has remained in this collection until now, in the company of many other special cars. Offered here complete with original book pack in the original Dino leather pouch, including the original blue warranty card. A large history file also accompanies the vehicle which includes ownership history, servicing, restoration etc A very rare GTS which retains so many original features that so many examples loose along the way.
